Sweden's newest metal threat, Devian, is the brainchild of former Marduk members Legion (vocals) and Emil Dragutinovic (drums). Devian is rounded out by guitarists Joinus and Markus Lundberg (both members of Sargathanas Reign) and Tomas Nilsson (on bass). Together they form an unstoppable extreme Metal machine driven by a ravaging hunger and deadset determination.
Instead of heading down paths already traveled, Devian decided to focus on a more dynamic old school vibe, which is built upon a very catchy combination of melody and aggression as the foundation. With references to bands like Slayer, Iron Maiden, Possessed, Morbid Angel, Dissection and even Motörhead, you will easily hear that Devian gathers some of the best elements of blackened Death and Thrash Metal.
